Tracking Survey Progress
The Results page is your primary tool for monitoring how students are engaging with the survey. It shows the participation status of every student in real time — whether they have been invited, started, or completed the survey — along with other details such as time spent and invitation activity.
You can also take action directly from this page: resend invitations, send reminders, or open a student's individual survey link.
Open your Project → Select your Panel → Click Surveys → Open your Survey Workspace → Click Results
Understanding the Results Page
At the top of the page, a set of status counters gives you an at-a-glance summary of the cohort:
- Total — The total number of students in this survey round.
- Completed — Students who have submitted their responses.
- In Progress — Students who have opened the survey but not yet submitted.
- Not Started — Students who have been invited but have not yet opened the survey.
- Withdrawn — Students who have been deactivated from this survey round.
A Completion % progress bar provides a visual indicator of overall progress across the cohort.
Below the counters, a table lists every student individually. Each row includes:
- Name and Email Address
- Status — Invited, In Progress, or Completed
- Invited On — The date the invitation was sent
- Last Response — The date and time of the student's most recent activity in the survey
- Time Spent — How long the student has spent on the survey
- Current Page — The survey page the student is currently on (for in-progress responses)
- Pass Code — The unique access code for the student's survey link
- Invitation and Reminder — Indicators showing whether an invitation or reminder has been sent
Use the Search bar to find a specific student by name or email.
Verifying Survey Links
Before the survey period begins — or if students report difficulty accessing their links — use the Verify Survey Links feature to confirm that all links have been correctly issued and are working.
- Click Verify Survey Links in the top-right corner — a dialog opens listing all students and their survey links.
- Click Test Survey next to a student to test a single link, or click Test All Surveys to check all links at once.
- A green banner confirms that all tested links are functioning correctly.
- A red banner flags any links with problems, along with details of the issue.
Resending Invitations
If a student did not receive their original invitation, or if it has been lost, you can resend it.
To resend an invitation to a single student:
- Click the three-dot menu at the end of the student's row.
- Select Re-send Invitation.
To resend invitations to multiple students at once:
- Select the students using the checkboxes on the left of each row.
- Click Re-send Invitation from the action bar that appears at the top of the table.
Sending Reminders
For students whose status is Invited or In Progress, you can send a reminder to prompt them to complete the survey.
To send a reminder to a single student:
- Click the three-dot menu at the end of the student's row.
- Select Send Reminder.
To send reminders to multiple students at once:
- Select the students using the checkboxes.
- Click Send Reminder from the action bar at the top of the table.
Reminders are sent via the same channel configured for the survey — Email, SMS, or both. The reminder template is set up by the project administrator.
Opening a Student's Survey Link
In some cases you may need to view a student's survey directly — for example, to assist a student who is working through it on a shared device.
- Click the Open Link icon at the end of the student's row.
- The survey opens in a new tab for that student.
Opening a student's survey link gives full interaction access to that survey instance. Do not submit or modify responses on behalf of a student.
Generating PDF Invitations
If some students cannot receive emails — for example, if they do not have a personal email address — you can generate printable PDF invitations that include each student's survey link, passcode, and an optional QR code.
- Click Generate PDF Invites in the top-right corner.
- The system generates a PDF file. Each page contains one student's invite with:
- Student name
- Survey link (URL)
- Passcode
- QR code for quick access
- Download or print the PDF file and distribute the invitations to the relevant students.
