Nodes Management

The Nodes page lets you view and manage all nodes within a project panel, organised by node type. Each node type is displayed as a tab at the top of the page. Selecting a tab filters the list to show only the nodes associated with that node type.

Navigation

Open a Project → Select a Panel → Click Nodes

Add a Node

Requirements

  • At least one node type has been created.
  • The node type is properly configured with its fields and attributes.
  • Respondent mode is configured if respondent data is required.

Steps

  1. Select the desired node type tab.
  2. Click the Add [Node Type Name] button (e.g., Add Student) — the Add New [Node Type Name] dialog opens (e.g., Add New Student).
  3. Complete the following fields:
    • Title — Mandatory. Enter the node title (e.g., Student Title).
    • Attributes — These fields are automatically generated based on the node type configuration. Complete all relevant attribute fields as required.
    • Respondent Section — Appears only if respondent mode is enabled for the node type. Complete all fields in this section:
      • Nick Name
      • Email
      • Phone Number
  4. Click Add Node to save — a confirmation message is displayed and the new node appears in the list for the selected node type.
caution

All respondent fields are mandatory when respondent mode is enabled.

Import Nodes

Nodes can be added in bulk by importing a .csv file. The same requirements for adding a node apply here.

Steps

  1. Click Import [Node Type Name] (e.g., Import Student) — the CSV Import dialog opens.
  2. Follow the structure shown in the dialog. Ensure your file includes all required fields and formats, which are automatically defined based on:
    • Node type fields.
    • Field types and configurations.
    • Respondent mode (if enabled).
  3. Upload your .csv file using drag-and-drop or by selecting a file. The system automatically validates the file format and data:
    • If errors or warnings are found, they are displayed above the list. Download the Issues Report to review and correct the file, then click Retry to upload the corrected version.
    • If no issues are found, a preview of the nodes is displayed. You can search, sort, filter, download as .csv, and print the data from this view.
  4. Click Next to continue.
  5. Review the data in the File Summary & Verification step.
  6. Check the confirmation checkbox to approve the data.
  7. Click Import — the nodes are added to the table under the selected node type.
note

You can download a pre-formatted template .csv file from the dialog to assist with correct formatting.

Delete Nodes

Steps

  1. Select the node(s) you want to delete using the checkboxes in the table.
  2. Click Delete Selected Nodes.
  3. In the confirmation dialog:
    • Type REMOVE ALL in the confirmation field.
    • Enable Force Delete.
  4. Click Delete to complete the action.
caution

Deleted nodes are permanently removed and cannot be recovered.
