Manage and Organise Widgets

The Slide Canvas is where you build and arrange the content of each report slide. This page covers how to add, move, delete, and configure widgets on a slide, as well as how to select multiple widgets and use grouping, combining, and context menu actions to organise your layout.

Add a Widget

  1. From the Widgets Toolbar, click the desired widget icon.
  2. Drag and drop the widget onto the Slide Canvas at the desired location.

Delete a Widget

  1. Select the widget you want to delete.
  2. Press Delete on your keyboard, or right-click the widget and select Delete from the context menu.

Move a Widget

  1. Click an empty area of the slide to deselect any selected widget — widgets can only be moved when not selected.
  2. Hover over the widget, then click and drag it to reposition it within the slide.

Display Widget Settings

  1. Click the widget once to select it — the Container Settings and Widget Configurations are displayed in the right-side Settings Panel.

Select Multiple Widgets

Some widget management actions — such as Grouping and Combining — are only available when two or more widgets are selected.

  1. Select the first widget.
  2. Hold Ctrl on your keyboard.
  3. Click each additional widget you want to include.

When multiple widgets are selected, the Selected Widgets panel appears on the right side of the slide, providing options to Group or Combine them.

Grouping vs Combining

  • Grouping — Keeps all selected widgets visible simultaneously and treats them as a single unit. Grouped widgets can be moved, resized, copied, locked, hidden, and arranged together while retaining their individual settings and content.
  • Combining — Places multiple widgets into a single container where only one widget is displayed at a time. Users switch between widgets using a Tabs or Select interface, useful for saving space and organising related content.

Group Widgets

  1. Select two or more widgets.
  2. In the Settings Panel, click Group.

Settings for a Grouped Unit

When a grouped unit is selected, open the dropdown at the top of the Settings Panel and select Combined. The following tabs are available:

  • Container — Standard container settings for the group, configured as a single unit.
  • Combined — Lists all items in the group. From here, you can view and reorder grouped items, or click Uncombine to restore all items as separate widgets.

To manage a specific widget within the group, open the dropdown at the top of the Settings Panel, select the widget by name, and modify its settings without ungrouping.

Combine Widgets

  1. Select two or more widgets.
  2. In the Settings Panel, click Combine.

Settings for a Combined Unit

When a combined unit is selected, open the dropdown at the top of the Settings Panel and select Combined. The following tabs are available:

  • Container — Standard container settings for the combined unit, configured as a single unit.
  • Combined — Provides the following settings:
    • Variant — Select how users switch between the combined widgets:
      • Tabs — Displays each widget as a tab at the top of the container.
      • Select — Displays a dropdown list allowing users to choose which widget to display.
    • Gap — Defines the spacing between the widget selector and the displayed widget content.
    • Accent Color — Defines the colour used for active tabs, selection indicators, and other highlighted elements.
    • Background Color — Defines the background colour of the widget selector area.
    • Border Color — Defines the border colour applied to the widget selector.
    • Font — Select the font family used for tab labels or selection options.
    • Font Size — Defines the size of the tab labels or selection text.
    • Font Weight — Defines the thickness of the tab labels or selection text.
    • Font Color — Defines the colour of the tab labels or selection text.

To view and reorder items or remove the combination, use the Combined tab. Click Uncombine to restore all items as separate widgets.

To manage a specific widget within the combined unit, open the dropdown at the top of the Settings Panel, select the widget by name, and modify its settings without uncombining.

Widget Context Menu

Right-click a widget to access quick actions for managing, organising, and controlling it within the slide:

  • Copy — Duplicate the widget including its content and settings. Copied widgets can be pasted on the current slide or on other slides.
  • Copy Styles — Copy the style settings of a widget and apply them to another widget. Only style options common between both widget types are applied.
  • Bring to Top — Move the widget above all other widgets on the slide.
  • Bring Forward — Move the widget one layer forward.
  • Send Backward — Move the widget one layer backward.
  • Send to Back — Move the widget behind all other widgets on the slide.
  • Lock — Prevent the widget from being moved, resized, or modified accidentally. Click Unlock in the context menu to make it interactable again.
  • Hide — Temporarily hide the selected widget from the slide.
  • Hide Other Widgets — Hide all widgets except the selected one, allowing you to focus on a single widget while editing.
