Designer
The Designer tab is organised into three main areas to help you efficiently build and configure your survey:
- Canvas (centre) — The main workspace where pages and questions are added, arranged, and structured.
- Toolbox (left panel) — A list of available question types and input elements that can be dragged onto the canvas.
- Properties Panel (right panel) — A dynamic panel used to configure the selected element or the overall survey.
The Properties Panel can be shown or hidden as needed, allowing you to focus on either layout design or detailed configuration.
Canvas
The Canvas is the main workspace where you build and organise your survey. It displays the survey structure — including pages and questions — and provides a real-time view of how the survey is structured, allowing you to control the flow, grouping, and positioning of questions as participants will experience them.
Toolbox
The Toolbox provides a wide range of question types and input elements to support different data collection needs. Select and drag elements onto the canvas to build your survey based on the type of information you want to collect.
Properties Panel
The Properties Panel is the central area for configuring your survey's structure, layout, and behaviour. It allows you to manage overall survey settings, page configurations, and individual question settings — all in one place.
- Survey Properties — Define global aspects such as layout, navigation flow, data handling, validation, and completion behaviour.
- Page Properties — Appear when a page is selected. Control the structure, visibility, logic, and layout of that page and its contents.
- Question Properties — Appear when a question or element is selected. Configure its content, behaviour, logic, validation, and data handling.
The panel updates dynamically based on your selection in the canvas, ensuring that the relevant configuration options are always displayed.
