Translation

The Translation tab allows you to translate survey content into multiple languages. It covers all questions, titles, options, and system texts used within the survey.

Add a Language

  1. In the Designer Studio, click the Translation tab.
  2. In the right-side panel, click the plus (+) icon.
  3. Select a language from the list — a new column appears for the selected language.
  4. Enter translations for each question title, option, and text element in the new column.
note

You can add multiple languages by repeating the steps above.

Filter Translation Content

Use the filters at the top of the page to control which content is displayed. This helps you focus on relevant text, especially in large or complex surveys.

All Strings

Shows all translatable text elements, including:

  • Question titles and descriptions.
  • Answer choices and labels.
  • Navigation texts (e.g., Next, Previous, Complete).
  • System messages and survey-level texts (e.g., loading messages, completion page markup).

Use this option when performing a full translation, reviewing consistency across all texts, or translating system-generated content.

Used Strings Only

Displays only the text elements actively used in the current survey configuration. Hides unused or default system strings that are not currently applied.

Use this option when you want a shorter list focused only on visible survey content, or when you want to speed up the translation process.

Delete a Language

  1. In the right-side panel, locate the language you want to remove.
  2. Click the delete icon next to it.
  3. Click OK in the confirmation dialog.
caution

Deleting a language removes all translations associated with it.

Import Translations

You can upload translations in bulk using a .csv file.

  1. Click the Import icon in the top toolbar.
  2. Select a .csv file from your device.
  3. Ensure the file includes all relevant survey fields (e.g., titles, descriptions, choices) and their corresponding translated values.
  4. The system automatically maps and applies the translations to the appropriate fields in the selected language.

Export Translations

You can download all translation data as a .csv file.

  1. Click the Export icon in the top toolbar.
  2. The system generates and downloads a .csv file containing all translation entries, including:
    • All translatable fields.
    • Default (source) text.
    • Existing translated values (if available).
